Choose the correct container for what you are storing
If using boxes we recommend breathable acid-free boxes
Boxes should be stored off the floor and on top of other items
Wipe and disinfect hard surfaces and dry properly prior to storing
Place clothing, linen, etc and any fabric containing items in tight sealing plastic containers
Add silica packets to plastic containers to help prevent mold growth
Air flow is key to prevent mold, don't store boxes/containers tight against walls or each other. Leave small gaps for airflow. Get boxes off the floor by placing them on other items or place pallets on the floor.
